Safety & Robot Cell Panels

Safety control panels for robot cells and guarded machinery: E-stops, safety relays or safety PLCs, interlocks, and light curtains wired to the required safety category.

Safety circuits are where a panel either holds up to a risk assessment or doesn't. We build dual-channel monitored circuits, keep the safety wiring physically and electrically separated from control wiring, and document the architecture so your assessment has something to point at. Small standalone safety boxes for a single robot arm are a common ask, and so are cell-wide panels tying together multiple guarded zones.

What's typically in one

  • Dual-channel E-stop circuits with monitored safety relays or a safety PLC
  • Door interlocks, light curtains, safety mats, and area scanner inputs
  • Zone-based reset and muting logic where the cell requires it
  • Safety wiring segregated and labeled distinctly from control wiring
  • Documentation supporting your risk assessment and safety category

Who asks us for these

  • Robotics companies integrating an arm into a guarded cell
  • Plants retrofitting guarding onto existing machinery
  • Integrators who need a compliant safety box fast

Common questions

Can you build just a small safety box, not a whole panel?
Yes — standalone E-stop and safety relay boxes for a single robot or machine are one of our most common small jobs, and they're quick to turn around.
Do you perform the risk assessment?
No. The risk assessment stays with you or your safety consultant. Tell us the required performance level or safety category and we build and document the circuit to meet it.
Safety relay or safety PLC?
Relays for a handful of circuits, safety PLC once you have multiple zones, muting, or logic that will change. We'll recommend one during scoping and price both if it's close.
