PLC & Automation Control Panels
PLC control panels designed and built from your IO list. We take an IO count and a sequence description and return a priced concept, then a UL508A panel wired to print.
Most projects start as a spreadsheet of inputs and outputs and a paragraph about what the machine has to do. We size the processor and IO, pick the network topology, lay out the subpanel for serviceability, and hand back a schematic, layout, and BOM you can review before anything is cut. If you have a controls standard, we build to it; if you don't, we apply ours and document every assumption.
What's typically in one
- PLC processor, IO cards, and expansion racks sized to your IO list with spare capacity
- 24VDC power supply, fusing, and distribution with SCCR documented
- Ethernet/IP, Profinet, or Modbus networking with managed switches where the topology needs it
- HMI cutout, mounting, and door wiring
- Terminal blocks numbered to the schematic, with wire duct sized for the field wiring you'll add
Who asks us for these
- Controls engineers who need panels built while they write code
- Integrators overloaded on panel-build capacity
- Manufacturers standardizing a machine platform across sites
Common questions
- Which PLC brands do you build with?
- Allen-Bradley and Siemens most often, plus Beckhoff, Automation Direct, and open-platform controllers. If your plant is standardized on a brand, we build to that standard rather than substituting.
- Do you write the PLC program too?
- Our scope is design and build: schematic, layout, BOM, fabrication, and wiring. Most customers keep the code in-house. We hand off a panel that's labeled and documented so your programmer can commission it without reverse-engineering anything.
- What do you need to quote a PLC panel?
- An IO list is the fastest path. A rough description of the machine and an IO count is enough to get a concept and a price back.
